Sorry I haven't updated - things have been crazy!
Our rummage sale went AMAZING - we made about $2,800!!!!!! People were SO generous, I mean complete strangers were donating extra money to us! We got rid of a lot but we still had a lot left so after about a week of trying to give things away to anyone who stopped by we hauled everything extra to the burn pile. Oh, and Goodwill ;)
I got Sage in to get her last round of vaccines (glad that's over), and Joey and I each need to get one more. Joel spoke at two different churches the last two weekends and they were both more than generous. Just letting him speak is awesome enough but to raise support on top of that is just an added bonus :) Then we spent all of last week packing up our house and moving out! Yup we're staying at my parents for two weeks. We have our going away party the 28th (everyone's invited!) We're planning to head down to GA a couple days after that (the timing depends on how Joel's dad is doing) and WE HAVE TICKETS to fly out of Jacksonville to Belize on the 7th!!!!
All of a sudden it's going by so fast. We're trying to focus on the good stuff and not think about saying goodbyes. It's not forever. AND Jesus gave up a LOT more than we are. Perspective.
I also want to stress that just getting to Belize is not the goal here, the goal is a lifelong commitment to follow Jesus. This is just another step in that goal.
Thank you to everyone that has helped us do this. There are so many of you, I hope you know who you are. Support and prayer is so important.
If you would keep us in prayer as we make this next transition. Sage is having kinda hard time with all the changes going on, and it's not going to get any easier for a few weeks for her. Plus there's all the goodbyes coming up. Thanks :)
