We're pretty much there financially!!

Wow you guys, we're up to $1,285 a month pledged!  God is so good to us. It's funny how amazed we are when He comes through every time isn't it?

SO anything extra we receive on top of this we will save.  Also anything we don't use monthly we will save.  We're not sure what all God has in store for us but we would like to be ready for anything.  No matter what it will be used for God's glory!

Our rummage sale is this weekend Friday and Saturday - come on out if you can!  Yes it's strange getting rid of everything but it is also so freeing. To know we are ready whenever God tells us to go is the best feeling.

We are still looking for a home for our 2 cats, Maci and Kendall. They are wonderful, indoor, spayed/neutered de-clawed companions.  Let me know if you know of a good home for them, a shelter is not an option!

We also have two more churches scheduled for September.  We are starting to think about tickets for the end of next month.....that's soon!!!!  Joel had the opportunity to speak last Sunday at our home church in Georgia, sounds like that was amazing, I'm so sorry to have missed it!

Thank you so all so much for your prayers and support, it means the world to us and we are so humbled by the financial blessings we can't even express it.

Things are really starting to happen!

All of a sudden things are really happening!

Last Sunday Joel got to speak at Crossroads Church in Beecher. It went really well and he even got to talk the whole service! They took up an offering for us which was generous. Then as we walked out of the church Joel's co-worker was in a car with his mom and they asked if we could go eat with them. So we went and turns out she wanted to support us - someone we didn't even know!

THEN later that afternoon Joel gets a call from a guy that we have met a few times and have mutual friends with asking if we could come to his house. So we did and he told us 3 months ago God told him to support us and gave him an amount. It was big and he couldn't afford it.  So he told God that if he would bring in enough work for him that he would be happy to support us. He said the last 3 months he has had more work than he knows what to do with, he's even working on Sundays. So he wrote us a check for a years worth of support right there!

WOW.

So as some of you know Joel's family was planning on moving into our house, but they have to sell their house first and they've only had 2 showings this summer. They told us to go ahead and rent our house out since they didn't know when they would be able to move in.  So I put a post on facebook yesterday hoping someone we know would be looking for a place.  About 20 minutes later I got a message from one of my facebook friends saying they wanted to look at it.  They came today, absolutely loved it, and are moving in October 1st!

It's so amazing to have confirmation. I mean we know we're doing the right thing but to have it confirmed like that just makes us feel so good!  And we know that God will keep taking care of all the details and we don't need to be stressing about it :)

SO we are up to $1,075 in monthly support!!!!!!  We have a few things to take care of such as getting things figured out with our house in GA, but we know this will be taken care of also.  Looks like we're going SOOOOOON!

We have 2 more churches to visit this month so please pray for Joel as he speaks and shares his heart with people, it's been a really cool opportunity to go to different churches.  And also that the rest of our financial needs will be met.

An update from the mission: they're getting new batteries! This means we will be able to have fans at night which is going to be a huge blessing, I know the other missionaries are looking forward to it :)

Thank you all so much for your support and prayers, it means so much :)

Support update 7/23/13

We're up to $2300 in one-time donations and $780 in monthly support!! Wow God is so good to us!  And family and friends too :)

We have 3 churches scheduled in August, please help us pray that these go well and Joel has a good message for everyone at church that day.  It's great to get a chance to go to different churches, even different denominations, and be able to share what God is doing in our lives!  Because the church is the body of Christ, not a building :)  (Ephesians 1:23)

Support update 7/8/13

Just wanted to give a support update, we are still at $580 for monthly support, but we are up to $2000 in one-time donations!!! A special thanks to Country Bible Church where Joel spoke 2 Sundays ago, they were so generous to us!  So we're about half way with the monthly support and almost have enough for plane tickets and our health insurance, it's exciting :)

10. Because your sister's wedding is over.

9. To encourage the current missionaries residing at the base.

8. So Sage and Avi can be friends.

7. To assist with general upkeep at the base.

6. To help build a new concrete shed for batteries.

5. To support discipleship in Gales Point.

4. To help current missionaries survive a team of 19 teenagers!!!

3. To help current missionaries survive one team leaving and and another team arriving THE SAME DAY!!!

2.. To assist with concrete foundation for Pastor Kenny's house.

And the number 1 reason you need to arrive soon is...

Support update

We wanted to update on how the support raising was going. So far we have $500.00 a month - almost half way!  We are SO thankful for everyone who has committed to help us, and those who have sent one-time donations.  This process of asking for money is so humbling I can't even describe it.

We also wanted to let you know it is now easier to donate - by using the 'Donate' button you see on the right of our blog! AND you can now set it up to withdraw monthly from your account if you wish.  Of course you can also send a check, we just thought this would be a lot easier.

As far as preparing for our move we have been getting ready as much as we can - going to rummage sales and ordering things online. It's hard to know what to get and also hard to think about downsizing to 6 suitcases lol. But it's also really exciting thinking about being free.  If there is a need somewhere and we need to help we can just throw everything we own in suitcases and be there in no time!  Nothing holding us back, I just think it will be so great :)  We are still planning on having a rummage sale once we get closer to moving, and it will be by donation so definitely something to check out! We need to get rid of just about everything so it should be pretty big.  If there's anything of ours you'd like in particular or someone you know of that's in need of something please let us know.

If anyone has a church that would welcome us coming to speak please let us know, we'd love to come share about our ministry and what God is doing in our lives :)
